First post

I love doing hair, and for me it is fairly easy to recreate hairstyles from pictures and videos. The web is full of amazing pictures of braids and you can find a video tutorial for almost anything.
The purpose of my blog is not to teach you how to do hairstyles, there are already lots of very skilled bloggers and vloggers who can do that, and if you want, I can point you to the right direction. In my blog, I want to create a gallery of hairstyles that we have tried and tested with my daughters. I want to include some comments about whether the hairdo lasts a weekend’s camping trip or whether you need to follow your girl with hair clips, bobby pins and hairspray and it still falls apart before you even leave the house. Or comments about how long it really takes to make them, or what happens if you get interrupted while braiding. Or is the hairdo any good in rain or wind, or what you need to think about if you’re going swimming or need to fit a bike helmet over it…

For example, I made this beautiful braid on one of my daughters before a camping trip. It was perfect as it keeps hair out of her face, and is very tight, so hair shouldn’t fall out of it very easily…. the second picture shows what it looked like after two nights in the tent and a lot of trampolining and other outdoor activities. The second picture doesn’t look that pretty, but the hair was still out of her face, and with a few hair clips, we managed to make it look OK.

So, this is where I start… hope you’ll all enjoy it!
