I like a challenge

Often my friends give me pictures of hairdos to try, and I love the challenge. This one looked easy to do, took a bit longer than I thought, didn’t quite turn out like I wanted, but lasted much better than I thought:

waterfall braid into little braids

I copied this picture by @noraforell from facebook… You first make a waterfall braid, then braid the bits that hang from the waterfall, and finally loosely braid them into the hair at the end of the waterfall.

My daughter’s hair is very long, so it took some time to do the little braids in step-2. She was quite bored with sitting still by step 6, so I never got the little braids to fall down nicely and evenly. And in the end I noticed I started adding the little braids back into the main braid one stitch too late, but just couldn’t pull it apart and redo, as my daughter was already bored with the whole thing.

For the average braider, this would be a bit of a challenge, but I think it wasn’t too difficult to try again. And it wasn’t a waste of time, as it lasted for two days. So now I can’t wait to try it on my older daughter.
